While Sherry and I were in Morocco, our group participated in a caravan of Dromedary. In case you are wondering, a dromedary is a camel with only one hump, also known as an Arabian Camel.

Although I have taken a very short camel ride in the past, this was different. The dromedary were tied to each other in a long caravan, and all thirty of us got to take a twenty minute ride together. It was a wild experience both getting onto the back and then having the camel rise up, back legs first then the front. We then climbed a sand hill of the desert with the beautiful snow capped mountains in the background.

I LOVED the experience. The animals were snorting and making loud calling sounds. A baby camel was following us around, and best of all, the camel behind me seemed to really like rubbing his neck against my pants. Just a total hoot.
